MOT fun and games
« on: May 13, 2007, 02:43:59 AM »
Well, hearse went for MOT this morning..........

And passed :D
Bit nerve racking, lunched the coil, points and condensor during the MOT due to the ballast resistor having lost it's resistance
The drive to the MOT station was the first time it's been driven since it came off the road a year ago!
Had to go and buy parts for a 30 yr old car on a Saturday morning and then fit them to get it running before the timer ran out on the MOT computer!
Still, a pass is a pass so straight to the Post Office, taxed and on the road  :D  :D  :D
Will post some pics when I get a chance

Wow, I love it! Are all the air components under the coffin deck then? Like your steering wheel too, very nice, where'd you get it from?

Cheers dude, yeah, 3 tanks and all the solenoids and stuff under the coffin deck, engine driven compressor.
Steering wheel came off the internet from a lowrider bike store in the states, bit of work to make a boss for it out of the original steering wheel but well worth it.

Yeah, luckily power steering takes most of the strain,
Edges are a bit fierce though, I've already cut myself on a stray bit of chrome!
