FIFTH GEAR TV WANTS LOW-LOWS ON THE SHOW>
« on: April 03, 2007, 06:10:51 PM »
Hi Guys

I got a call from the producers of channel 5's Fifth Gear (http://www.five.tv/fifthgear) as they're really keen to get some lowriders down to the Ace Cafe in London for a feature on the new forthcoming series. A few of you probably know I'm a presenter on the show and as the directors know I'm into lowriders they asked me to see if I could put the word out to round up some cars. So here I am! This is a shout out for lowriders from all the UK clubs to see if they can come down and be part of the show. This is terrestrial TV exposure so it will only be positive for UK Lowriders like ourselves.

THE BAD NEWS:  They want the cars to be there next Wednesday (11th April) first thing and I realise this is typical bloody TV short notice scenario. I just hope any of your boys are willing to do it. Shame my Chevy isn't finished yet...

If you can make it please contact a chap called Thom Hambleton, his details are as follows. He is expecting calls/emails with questions so please get in touch asap if you fancy it. He says he wants a mix of euro and yank cars too:

people who live in london are oblivious to anything outside the M25..  My Mrs lives in the Midlands now, but 30yrs of conditioning means she can navigate around tube strikes and things without a map or stopping to look at platform numbers, but couldnt point out birmingham on a map :D

Any more news on this, Jon?

If the Honda is ready, I've provisionally booked the Wednesday off, so I might be able to make it.  But I don't really want to go up without any of you proper 3 wheelin' boys....

Any definite attendees yet?

I'd love to get the Lo-Vol on TV, but with it being in London and in the morning and on a wednesday it doesn't seem likely that I'll be able to go :( shame really cos I think most people would like to go down there and represent their club
