Thanks for the info guys. Got my 6mm through the other day too. I know your Regal was wrapped with the body still on so it probably didn't get as good a job if the body was off because of access. The frame is off to the sand blasters today (I think) and then it's cutting time.

Your welcome to look at how GM reinforced those X frames originally - stick your head under my 58 convert - its 2" deeper than the hardtops frame and weighs in half as much again. May give you an alternative to "wrapping"  :wink:
Consider this - a thicker box section is never going to be stiffer or stronger than a deeper box section using the same or less material.
