Newbie - Air'd Passat B5 estate in Shropshire
« on: February 04, 2012, 02:27:34 PM »
Hi, im dave and i own a 1998 B5 passat estate 1.8 20v NON turbo

Bought her with coil overs that were wound down to the ground but i wasnt happy with that.

Bought a front and rear air ride kit and heres how it sat on that

After a few other body mods (removed roof rails, tinted lights etc etc)
The wrapped wheels are Borbet A 9" front and rear.  the cow wrap is just for winter to protect the dish lol

Also textured a few interior bits

Only have a short video of the bags in action (direct link)
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v320/big_dave_cinq_sport/?action=view&current=ccf44c5e.mp4

Its getting there, few more bits to do before im happy tho.

One of the reasons i have signed up here,  I WANT HYDRAULICS! lol. After seeing the blue SEAT video bouncing around i HAVE to have some,  My bags just arnt quick enough now lol.

will update when i can and will be looking for some hydraulics soon  thanks

bags can be just as quick as 36v hydros if installed right you know..................and a lot more forgiving to a Euro body!

True, but the size of the tanks and compressors needed are just too much for my liking.

Its nice to see someone else still uses this forum, as some posts haven been commented on in over 5 years lol

Wow that vid is old lol. Seems like hydraulic sceene in the uk has died around the early 2000's. I feel its time to bring it back ;-)
