make sure you plate those holes !!!!

[i would go the extra mile and tie the rack into the strut towers as well]

which holes?? the ones where the hoses are cumin through?? the whole structure is bolted to the chassis?

yes those ones.
It may be bolted to the "chassis" but as its a monocoque a lot of the strength is i the towers and you've cut big joles in them. Tie the towers to the rack to make it all one big structure and plate around the holes to put strength back in them
