How to locate an internal leak............

if your ride, or part of it, is dropping but you can't see a leak, oil must be finding it's way back to tank somehow.
It is easy to do a quick check to point you towards the leak.
Looking at this CoolCars layout of a two dump assembly.......................

In normal work mode we are used to thinking of pressure coming from the pump into B1, then flowing through the check valves and dump bodies (note. not through the dump valves), then out of the hose to the rams. As we are now looking for a leak causing all or part of the system to drop imagine that the pressure is going into the assembly the other way (as it is being created by the weight of your ride not the pump).
Pressure gets into the dump bodies and can only get out of there through the check valves (back to B1) or through the dump valves (into Z).
So, park your ride in the up position so it would normally drop. If you close the slow down all the way this will stop any oil leaking through the dump valves going anywhere and so the ride will not drop
UNLESS
oil is getting back through the check valves into B1 and then pushing it's way past the pump gears or seals.
If the ride continues to drop you know it was getting through the dump valve.

You now know if you need to check the appropriate dump or check.
