one of my rams is stuck at the top :( wont go down! any ideas without looking at it what might be the problem?

if its a front one and you just welded it back on without making sure that lack of "play" hadn't caused the original fractures then its possibly mechanical "stiction" jamming it.
crack a pipe fitting from it to see if it drops. this ill tell you if its a dump [if it does move] or mechanical [ if it doesn't].
Most things improve with age................

do the pipe thing the same to start.
if its not a dump either mechanical due to poor mounting angles, a gland bush jammed with shit or a seal twisted in its seat
