Keeping Batteries in good order whilst car is stored
« on: March 24, 2009, 03:03:45 PM »
Hey guys, its been a while since i've been on here so sorry to go straigt in with a question.

I'm worried about the batteries that are used for the Hydraulics.  Whats the best way to ensure they stay in good order whilst the car is not being used?

I do have one of those accumates that I use for another car.  I could easily use that but as there are 4 batteries that could prove expensive.  Unless there is a way of wiring the batteries so I can connect the Accumate to all four at once?

Cheers
Mark

This could be an option, just found this:

http://www.accumate.co.uk/it010002.htm    (anyone fancy a group buy!?)

Not a cheap option though so other suggestions still very welcome!!

if you rejig you leads so that your 4 become one big 12v batt [ie + to + and - to -]you should be able to use any trickle charger
Most things improve with age................

I was kind of hoping someone would say that.  To confirm how would they need 'rejigging?'  I want to make sure I make it one big 12v rather than a 96v!!

+ to + and - to -
that would create a big 12v battery
