pics on their way but much progress covered by Tim @ Roadhouseretro. He's fitted the lower quarters, the whole trunk floor, the drop sides, the trunk gutters are being done and the rear panel is coming on. It's nearly a solid car. Fuel tank going in soon and then some paint.....but only paint on the back end, then it'll be rubbed back to match the Deathproof looks.

Looks like I might have her on the road by Xmas. The whole back end now rebuilt with new sheet metal panels (rear valance, rear light panel, trunk floor, trunk gutters, panel under back window, lower rear quarters and brace panels). More progress soon on engine revival and some paint matching/blending

Oh and new fuel tank now in too:

looking good jon, glad you're keeping it "deathproof" rather than going all shiny; will be a cracking car when done!

Cheers boyo. I can't wait to have her running and road worthy. It's gonna look filthy. Trying to decide whether to stick a vinyl roof back on her (as per factory).

might look too clean and tidy, plus the roof is nicely battered at the moment if you can preserve the current look that would get my vote..

Am hoping to get her on the road for next Friday (Wheels Day). All welding done, paint blended, vinyl roof, new brakes, new steering bushes, R/T torsion bars, totally rebuilt and painted engine. The thing has swallowed some ££$$£

She's alive. Rebuilt engine, mot'd, uk reg'd and got it to Wheels Day. Next up new tyres for the steel rims and then some redline painting by some bloke called Ant.

Have done over 400 miles on the rebuilt original 383 now. Not too long until I can start squeezing it harder. In the meantime going to order the carpet set, headliner and door cards.

New vinyl roof fitted
