I dont have many pics left of the bugs etc these days, but here's one i just found, this was the last bug built around 93 before the whole resto cal thing kicked off, Black car with green flake overlay and pearl lacquer,2100cc gene berg lump and 5 speed trans,Pro heads, Nos Fogger kit,twin 50mm carbs by JC in the USA, suicide doors, the usual shaving etc,homebrewed brembo disc conversion on 4 corners, 5000w ice, Green n black leather sculpted interior,rims where OEM 356c that were modded, later swapped out to original BRMs, plus it had a bunch of acc's like the wooden roofrack,and ski rac, cooler boxes and all that biz....When that finaly went, i rebuilt a 62 crewcab that my old friend Jon abbott from JAVA bought back from cali for me...That was at shows from around 96> Black lower and cream top, on original empi 5's, 1776cc motor, with irs trans conversion, i hate reduction box rears....Oddly enough it was fitted with a Full length factory rag top?!?!?! and every VW commercial tool/acc's known to man..
I ran a club called Working Class VWs for yrs, that was aimed at the commercial owners specifically, as parts etc were scarce at the time..
Then it was time to move on to new things, and i started rodding and building kustom bikes etc...To be honest the VW scene became real anal,and i couldnt be arsed with all the bitchin,and attitude..

Cheers for the info, I figured i'd have a hard time tryin to find somewhere to do an installation, so decide to hit you folks up to get the low down so to speak..
Kicking the frame shouldnt be too much hassle, as for the lack of inner arches, i was gonna fabricate some larger tubs for the bed area... on the front are we talking just remove the crappy plastic inner arch liners, or the entire flitch?
