Well sorry to rock the boat ,after all this talk of funk etc! Altho' I do sometimes like stuff that is thrown in to my ears by my 16 yr old daughter,I like plain and simple Bob Marley type reggae,(cos Im an old git) Looking to expand my music horizons tho'! Some of the modern stuff is ok.
Its strange how when we have a party ,and play beatles/stones/reggae /quo etc ,even the younger guests know the words ,so they mustve got summat right way back when!
Grew up with Hot Rods,Ed Roth and Gasser Wars.
Grew into Low &Slow,Sleds, and 2-doors

And if I want to blow my sub and pretend I'm a badman:

When I'm south of the river and need to not get car-jacked:

I always seem to get lost around Hackney, which is home to knackered-Benz-with-megabass-ragga. When in Rome:

I'll bang some more up later.

Great sunny Sunday afternoon cruising tune. Shame my car's broken, otherwise that's exactly what I'd be doing right now. Subs up, windows down, this on the stereo:
