sir nose's merc w126(new wheels)
« on: June 28, 2008, 06:39:41 PM »
its been nearly 1 year since i bought my merc i dont really know why its taken so long, now its nearly all together it all seems like ive been draggin my arse.ive plumbed the hoses throught the transmission tunnel just gotta secure them with p clips.ive made a frame for the pumps and batterys just needs tidying up and painting.im expecting a parcel from the u.s on monday with the last bits i need so i will take a week off work and get it finished.
pic1,this is what she looked like when i bought it

pic2,this what she looks like now

pic3,rear cylinders the rusty ones are from utterpiffle's old SEC,the black ones are from max hydraulics these are 8" the others are 6" ill have to see how well they work when fitted.

pic4,cce hydraulics

pics5/6/7,framework,i think it might be OTT it weighs a tun,

pic8/9/10,mock up i might have to move the pumps as they are quite close to the batterys, whats your opinion?

Wow! Looks great mate, you've been busy...

Get the framework powdercoated - the company I used near Yarmouth were cheap and excellent quality...

Will have to pop over soon for a nose. Fancy coming to Retro Rides meet on Wednesday?
