can anyone help this lady???
« on: April 03, 2008, 11:36:51 AM »
Hi Guys,
I have been contacted by a young lady who needs our help....

Churchdown and Innsworth Community Project
35, Coriander Drive,
Churchdown
Gloucester,
GL3 1LD

My name is Kayleigh Bailey. I am a Youth Inclusion Worker at Churchdown and
Innsworth Community Project, in Gloucestershire, and I work with a very
special group of young people, who for various reasons, learning
difficulties, family difficulties, behavioural, emotional and social
difficulties, do not attend school.
Instead they come to us, SPLAT (Student Placement Learning Achievement
Training) where they are supported to gain a recognised accredited
qualification, they undertake a workplace placement to gain experience of
the workplace and a healthy lifestyles programme.
We work in a strong partnership with the young person, their parents, their
school and their workplace and we are achieving fantastic results.
On May 8th  it is their school prom and to shout out loud about their
achievements we want to make it a day to remember for them.
We are looking for something really different to transport them to the prom,
something that will make everyone go WOWWW!!!!
We are so proud of these young people and what they have achieved against
the odds, they were at the bottom of the heap and now they are at the top
and we want everyone to know.
If you think you can help celebrate these young people’s success please I
will be very pleased to hear from you.
