In search of a Lo Lo
« on: January 12, 2008, 01:24:25 AM »
Looking to get a Lowrider but don't know the any of the technicalities behind it all...always loved em but struggled to find anything in the UK before I stumbled on this forum....  if i'd found it last year i'd have brought something already

ideally it would be RHD, with hydraulics.. at least 2 pumps... i'd seen the xj40 on ebay but it seems to have a few issues and only 1 pump....  would love a benz 190e or an older Merc coupe

any one know of anything going?  don't want to rush in to anything

hope you can help

main reason it only got one was I did it as a freebie with it being a mag project install. No reason for it not having another.

edit..... now i read that i'm not atually sure if money changed hands or not  :? [..... age again]

I think Rudey's still got his Volvo 740 estate up for sale (as far as I know...), it's an awesome ride, inside and out. Has two chrome pumps, wire wheels etc Very cool 8)

Thanks for the advice... Where would be the best place to get it fixed?  I've read about max hydraulics in birmingham which isn't too far from me in Nottingham...

fatdaddy where are you from?  what sort of money am i looking at to fix it up and add another pump? any major running costs i should be aware of?

no rush as i've got to sell my current car and soft top roadsters tend not to sell very well this time of year.. that jag just took my fancy but i'm in the market for something

will come along to this http://www.ultimateuklowridergathering.com/ if i have one or not by then.

i knew it would be this car before I clicked the link.

Only thing I know about this car (although I've been out of the loop for a while) is that I remember it being owned by what I recall as a bit of a t**t called Sam who neglected the car and ignored the very good advice offered to him on another forum (Eurolow) so it may have been butchered a bit, although that was quite a long time ago.

Was this originally done by Keith?

I like the Lo Vol.. looks pretty tricked out with the purple crushed velvet... i think i saw it on Ebay early last year.

The 190e good although doesn't look loved... i think my 80's lovin for the 190 has been over taken by a new found love for pillar less coupes.  I would love to have this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/270320.htm and would have snapped it up for that money
