Thanks you Pete and Chops, I see what you are saying. I think we might try that, so long as it doesn't affect the steering. MInd you, it's a lowrider after all so steering will be vague as f&*k

I think I have a spare set of arms and steering box too.

Am collecting it this week and bringing it to my home for the first time since buying the SS 5 years ago! Steering problem still not solved. Need to clear garage too....

Got her back to the garage for the first time. No rain or snow, and roped in some mates to help push it into place. Bad photo, better ones on the way....!

I'd love to say I'd done ANYTHING on it since January (when the photo above was taken) but I've not done a damn thing. Struggling to be inspired to do it in the small amount of spare time between work and parenthood. Wish I lived closer to some mates who could help out on one another's cars. It's a crying shame, but progress is minimal at the moment dude :-(

I've not even had time to re-mot my Charger, which hardly needs anything!

The Beetle is my first car and one that will stay with me until I croak. Intend to start restoration when Impala is done, but not been on the road since 2004 due to rot. How are you?
I've not made any progress on the Impala at all this year, plus a mate (who suffered a terrible loss earlier in the year) has asked if I could finish it for his wedding next May. Hmm, ambitious. I've got to try...

Are you around anytime soon? Be good to show you the car over a cuppa.

hello buddy. i am after a beetle project or shell pre 63 small window one-want to sell or swap my buick for it as i have moved away from lows now. def have to finally call over for a cuppa and a chat/view of the impala-i wish i had bought that impala that was up a while  (your friends one?)back but funds where low then. i will give you a call to find out when your free-might be going to have a look at a parjero evo down your way soon so might kill two birds with one stone. :)
